Short-eared Owls are commonly seen hunting during the day here in the UK. During the Winter months their numbers can increase greatly with an influx of birds from the continental.
There seems to be an abundance of Short-eared owls around at the moment. These beautiful owls with their distinct stare are just gorgeous.
